“Ye RABINDAR Kaun Hai?”…From a Comments!

I would like to share this news published on today’s leading language daily, where Shri Mulayam Shigh Yadav has made this remarks with surprise!

On 8th August ( 22nd. Srabana according to Bengali calendar) at the Highest Apex centre of the Country, The Parliament House at Central Hall, celebrating the 150 th year of death ceremony of renowned poet Ravindranath Tagore

In presence of Central Ministers and other dignitaries, Shri Mulayum Singh Yadav said “ Ye Rabindar Kaun Hai !”…I read at the newspapaper that Mamata (The Chief Minister of West Bengal) declared state holiday…

The Railway Minister,  Shri Dinesh Tribedi added him, that he was a big Bengali business man, who at the cost of one rupees pen and two rupees ink @ investment of only Rs 3/-brings the Nobel prize, which cost more than lakhs…

Honorable Mulayamji left the place, after little moment he returned with smiling gesture and said …“You won’t make me fool I got the exact news! 'Rabinderkumar' was a Big Poet!” Everyone present laughed and corrected him by Shri Sudip Banerjee, Central Minister.

As matter of fact, Shri Mulayum Sigh Yadav, happens to be the Chief of Samajbadi Party, Ex-Defence Minister of India, besides Ex chief Minister of the biggest state Uttar Pradesh, while considered to be a veteran Politician. The above news exposes the quality of our leadership status. Although, not much surprised about his ignorance that ‘Rabindranath Tagore’ is the founder of our National Anthem.

My tribute to 'Gurudev'
I would like to seek opinion of the readers, specially poets about Mulayumji’s knowledge in respect of Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941), a Bengali polymath also known as ‘Gurudev’, the first Asian non European Nobel Laureate (1913) in literature. A poet, philosopher, musician, writer, educator, artist....

I do simply consider Gurudev, as an exceptional, mesmerizing persona who reshaped Bengali literature…art & culture, being recognized Worldwide...

Tagore, one word even 1st std kids know in our country, thanks to GK books. Who elect these politicians? We should feel sorry for him, for not knowing one of the biggest intellects our country has produced.
