“Humility” In the face of Vastness…

Humiliating the Sky!

We cannot be effective, if we think we are supposed to know everything…

When someone corrects us for a mistake or asks question that we don’t know the answer, we get angry or feel humiliated. If it is from a junior or children, we often create barriers and encounter fear of being exposed our ignorance, more reluctantly.

Actually, what happens! We can’t flow; rather cannot carry them with us…Where does this strange idea come from?

It appears to be, from the pre-independent rulers, this aura of superiority has grown yet continuing the same mentality. As if, they were a special race and we were failures. Actually, wanted to pretend, we were like them…

I like to remind a real encounter. It was the tradition of the President of India that his shoes should be put on by a servant. This convention being maintained, which was adopted by British ruler, until Dr. Abdul Kalam becomes our President! This tradition sustained because we got into their place and had to be like them. It is only Dr. Abdul Kalam said, why? I can put my own shoes on. The need to pretend is part of hypocrisy of what known as industrial mindset.

Now, so far Humility is concern, we need to confront the reality and dissolve it, because we are all here learning together, meet with the same humility…All the same.

There are so many things I don’t know, you can teach me! I do find much relaxed with this attitude…

Thus, it’s ‘Humility’ in the face of vastness of knowledge, do have three prominent movement of humility…
FIRST:  All that I know is a drop…
SECOND:  We can present whatever knows in so many ways and       everyone have his own viewpoints…
THIRD:  The recognition of one’s own limitations…

It can be considered, to be some important facets and we may check out which ones are more developed in us…

We must make the effort to reach out, sometimes through word and sometimes through consciousness.

Yes.. well said, acknowledging ignorance is the first step towards knowledge! But we are all just insecure with what ever little knowledge we have and may be that is why this hypocrisy!
