Summer Elevation-II, Four in a Row; G-27

        This is fourth one in this series, and uncovers the diagram of my garden during this extreme summer.
        In this post given accommodation of four different varieties besides three exclusives with links. I like to end the series in view of scheduled tour programme.

        Watch it! a personal effort organised the outcome, under the condition of scorching heat at Dhanbad District, Jharkhand, India...

1. Portulaca: A nice short lived ground cover type plant, also known as ‘Sun rose’ or even Moss Rose. The Portulaca flowers are easy to grow, prefer full sunlight good for high heat. It’s a wonderful plant, having cylindrical foliage which retains moisture.

2. Vinca: Also called ‘Periwinkle’ and is a popular amongst gardeners.  Not only blooms are attractive but their foliage sets the flow of flashy flowers colour. It’s a reliable ornamental plant and colour includes dark violet, white, red, pink  etc. A member of ‘Apocynaceae’ family grows at hot weather, height between 8 to 12 inches, full sun is best for growth.

3. Zinnia: A perennial plant with long stemmed flowers comes in a variety of colour… even multi colour, both miniature and giant variety. It’s a popular garden flower, grown from seeds and full sun, easy to grow at hot climate. The flowers appearances… from single row of petals to the dome shaped variety, a hardy plant with terminal flower heads.

4. Sunflower: A common variety to occupy a garden at summer, there 

are number of species. One of which is dwarf ‘teddy bear’.. Annual plant 

for beds or pots appears as thriller, blooms within 2 months of showing. 

Golden yellow fully double, well arranged and uniform bush, it is 

attractive.

5. Kochia: Grace the garden… ‘Bassia Scoparia’ . An erect much 

brunched summer member of Goosefool family, reproduced from seeds. 

The stems are round; leaves are narrow, hairy bright green & pale 

yellow. It adds beauty during summer along with flower plants.

6. Cosmos: A popular garden flower, leaves are simple and 
arranged in opposite pairs, having variable colours. It appreciates moist 
condition...full sun, do not require much care. There are winter varieties. 

7. Bachelor's Button Flower:  A multi-stemmed plant grows up to 1-3 feet with grayish green foliage and yields many flowers through out the summer. The flowers commonly seen in blue, although have pink, white purple, red colours, are small in size with petals flaring out. The blooms are excellent for dry flower arrangements as they retain their colour when dried.

Summer Elevation-II, Zinnia; G-26

        Do enjoy the charm of Zinnia with a smile. The origin is from my garden, informed through Summer Elevation Series... already two exclusive variety released & being duly appreciated.

       Those who are new, welcome please and may connect from given link to watch the same...

        In regard to  rest three varieties, the scope of number of pictures is limited. So most probably consider to bring out in combination. Not verified how much pictures are there to share...

        I am  satisfied in a sense that yesterday & today the temperature rose to 44 degree Centigrade, just imagine how they survived.. most difficult struggle. An hour delay in watering could dried up the plant instantly. We human species are lucky in all respect.

        As a matter of fact, summer variety flower do not require or demand extra food supplement or needs application of fertilizers. The reason is simple, actually during winter the beds and pots soils are being prepared with sufficient fertilizers and in between growing... flowering... additional supplements are often added...

       As soon as the summer variety seedlings gets ready at Nursery, replaced the winter within a gap of 2/3 days, only the time required to dry up the soil.
       All these things are kept in mind during winter garden preparations... It's my strategy to lead the process.

            I already introduced my visitors with the summer Elevation Series through post No.Garden-23. In continuation shown versatile & colourful Portulaca (Garden-24) as on 6th. May'2012, here comes the next variety...projected prominently. 
        I do hereby given stress on visualization instead of information's, maximum number of pictures, instead of increasing number of posts...
